Little Power Gig
Tonight The Voodoo Lounge in Stamford hosts a Little Power extravaganza.
First up, Frisco Farr will be playing with a new lineup. Whilst Shawnee (synth/vox) is away in Reno, Arizona doing conservation work in a national park (cool right?) a slightly modified lineup will be touring. Tonight will be the first airing of said lineup... featuring... me... on synth and vocals with additional support coming from Sandy who will also be providing Shawnee's vox. I think it's going to be a pretty visceral performance....
Following FF, will be New Zealand's finest... Disasteradio. This electronic whizz shall be playing headlining the night and I personally can't wait.
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like our very own Neon Mussolini...
... shall be dj'ing now, but I'm sure Science & Magick's Craig will be stepping up to the DJ booth and spinning some top notch tunes like he did last time. Anyone who can scream a little bit of The Locust onto a dancefloor shall always remain high in my eyes.
So if you're prepared to miss the Champions League final for some music and partying, head down to the Voodoo Lounge in Stamford tonight! Plus they do a mean gumbo upstairs (the candied yams are pretty special too).
All that remains, is... come on Barcelona!!!
See you at Stamford ;)

UH OHs join the roster!
I'm proud to announce the latest addition to the Little Power Records family... UH OHs.
This feisty Norwich three-piece knocked my socks off a few monthes back when I went to catch them play so I'm simply delighted to have snapped them up for a double single. I'd describe them as an alternative rock band making pop songs with a dangerous underbelly... but I'd much rather you make your own mind up. You can check out "I Cant Wait" on our myspace player here:
www.myspace.com/littlepowerrecords
"I Cant Wait/I Am Underdog" will be available through iTunes and download through our soon to be released new website with a limited number of promotional art cards (more of which soon) on the 29th of June.

D-rad tour update #17
On Saturday Disasteradio played two amazing gigs I forgot to tell you about. The first was at Proud Galleries in Camden, London- which is a venue I really like. It was converted from a Victorian stables into a trendy art gallery and venue (it still has the cobbled stones inside it and the boothes are converted from the actual stables!) After playing their set here Disasteradio dashed to Vibe Bar, Brick Lane for an event curated by A Low Hum's very own Blink. I unfortunately couldn't get there myself, but the word is that it was a mental night!

D-rad tour update #16
While I was frantically learning all of the Frisco Farr songs (I'm filling in for Shawnee while he's in Reno, Arizona for four monthes doing conservation work in the woods) yesterday, Disasteradio were hitting up the Club Snafu in Aberdeen. Hot Chip have dj'd there in the past to name but one great act who has performed there.
Tonight, D-rad is in Glasgow, playing at Bloc.

D-rad tour update #12 (D-rad Tour Diary Day #3)
Here is the third Disasteradio Tour Diary in which Luke gets married! Nice one mate!
D-rad tour update #11 (plus video interview)
Ok, first up I've just found this interview by complete fluke and it's brilliant. It's a Disasteradio interview and it's possibly the greatest insight into the band that you could ask for.
Secondly, Disasteradio are playing at the Blow Up Club, Bar Rhumba in London tomorrow night. Why not check it out.

D-rad tour update #7
Last night Disasteradio played at The Orphanage in Chicago, Illinois.
Six Chicago facts:
1. Chicago is the third most populous city in the United States.
2. Chicago has the soubriquet of "The Windy City", but not for its weather. It was coined thus because of it's native politicians long rambling speeches.
3. In 1871 The Great Fire Of Chicago destroyed a third of the city.
4. Chicago is nationally renowned for its deep-dish pizza and apparently there are only four places in all of Chicago which serve the real deal.
5. Chicago has an elevated railway line known as the "el".
6. Chicago is a sister city with Birmingham in old Blighty.
